Apply to the School of Music

All applicants, regardless of area, must be accepted to both the Graduate School at Wichita State University as well as the School of Music. Applying is a simple process:

1) Apply to the Wichita State University Graduate School here. As part of this application you must submit Official Transcripts, and three letters of recommendation.

*GRE Scores are NOT required

2) Contact the studio teacher or area director to schedule an audition or interview. The list of faculty and directors can be found here. Links to information about the audition or application requirements for specific areas can be found below.

*Certain assistantships require specific audition materials and excerpts. If applying for an assistantship please read the job description carefully to make sure you audition with the appropriate material.

3) To apply for an assistantship click here and upload the document to your online graduate school application.
