Why the Butterfly?

SSS ButterflyThis unique blue Monarch butterfly symbolizes all that Student Support Services commits to their students and hopes for their students to achieve. In the life of a butterfly, it goes through four developmental stages. Likewise, a college student progresses from freshman to senior. A butterfly, after a struggle full of intense determination and hard work, emerges on gossamer wings on which to soar. With the supportive hand, listening ear and constant encouragement of SSS, students can emerge, cloaked in the robes and mortarboard of a successful graduate, prepared to fulfill their dreams and ready to face the great challenges life will demand.
