Student Support Services is a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Education. We provide services to first generation, low income students, and students with disabilities, focusing on assisting WSU students to reach their academic goals, stay in school and graduate. Students can receive services after completing an enrollment form, meeting with an SSS Academic Advisor, and identifying which services will be most beneficial based on several assessments.
Welcome to the website of an office that provides significant benefits to WSU students. It is my pleasure to introduce you to the Student Support Services Program (SSS). We offer several services geared towards ensuring that students graduate from WSU. All of us at SSS work in collaboration with other WSU staff, faculty and administrators to form a united front in support of eligible students. Over the past thirty-four years, consistent improvement in our effectiveness has resulted in the increased retention and graduation of our students. Additionally, a growing number of our students continue to enter graduate school and find employment in Kansas, around the USA and throughout the world.
