Welcome to WSU!

The Office of Admissions would like to welcome you as a new Wichita State University student! The Mission of Orientation is to excite new students about being a part of the Shocker community and aid in their academic and social transition to Wichita State.

During Orientation, you will learn valuable information about the many resources available to you and tips on making the most of your time here. You will also have opportunities to make connections with the people and organizations that make WSU such a unique and supportive place.

Beyond Orientation and your experiences on campus, WSU offers the advantage of being strongly interconnected with the city of Wichita. You'll find numerous chances to interact with community leaders and experts in various fields. You'll also have unique opportunities to connect with the larger community through internships, assistantships, and cooperative education. We hope you'll take advantage of these opportunities!
