Local Government Management Series 2018

The Public Policy & Management Center's Local Government Management Series offers monthly learning and networking events for all government organizations in the region.

Four Local Government Management (LGM) programs are offered on a quarterly basis on alternating months in 2018:

→  Public Finance Professionals' Lunch & Learns
→  Public Works Professionals' Lunch & Learns
→  Managers' Roundtable Luncheons

Local Government Management Seminars
2018: March 22, June 21, Sept. 20, Dec. 6  >>  3:30 - 5:00 p.m. (new time)

  • Area city and county managers and other government professionals present relevant trends and practical solutions to local government issues
  • Open to all local government professionals
  • Hosted at Wichita State University
  • Light refreshments provided

Public Finance Professionals' Lunch & Learns
2018: Feb. 22, May 24, Aug. 16, Nov. 15  >>  11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Finance experts lead lectures and group discussions about best practices and current economic research
  • Open to public finance professionals
  • Hosted by area cities and counties
  • Lunch provided

Public Works Professionals' Lunch & Learns
2018: March 8, June 7, Sept. 6, Dec. 13  >>  11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Public works professionals lead lectures and group discussions about best practices and current relevant topics
  • Open to all public works professionals
  • Hosted by area cities and counties
  • Lunch provided

Managers' Roundtable Luncheons     
2018: Jan. 25, April 26, July 26, Oct. 25  >>  11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Facilitated discussions about hot topics in local government management
  • Exclusive to city and county managers and administrators
  • Hosted by area cities and counties
  • Lunch provided

Fee
A one-time annual fee allows organizations to participate in the 2018 series.
Cities >10k population: $430
Cities <10k population: $230
Counties: $430
