Research in Psychopathology

The primary focus of our research program is on traditional psychometric research on personality and psychopathology in hospitalized psychiatric inpatients. We are also especially interested in the construct of demoralization and its relationship to various manifestations of psychopathology including anxiety and depression.

Current Projects

Our current projects include a study of the revised Personality Psychopathology Five (PSY-5) scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 Restructured Form (MMPI-2-RF) and how they map onto the Grossman Facet Scales of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III (MCMI-III). Another study focuses on the relationship of the internalizing and externalizing behaviors found in Borderline Personality Disorder to the Grossman facet scales for the Borderline Tendency Personality Scale of the Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory (MACI).
