Rebuilding WSU in today's economy will require courage, and determination to prepare for the future.

We are embarking on a yearlong process to successfully negotiate an economic bottleneck characterized by declining state funding for higher education, diminishing personal wealth and unstable markets.

We didn't choose this situation, but we can use it as an opportunity to sharpen our mission, reorganize and realign our programs and prepare for growth as the economic turmoil eases.

President Beggs and I hope you will join with us and your colleagues listed in the groups below to build an even better university for Wichita, Kansas and the nation.
