Assistant Coaches


Christian Kindel

A senior graduating with an Electrical Engineering degree. He rowed for Wichita State for four years in the Men's Varsity 8+. The past two years he has volunteered as an assistant coach and has transitioned into a staff member this spring.

Rachel Tuck A senior majoring in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice and Biology with a minor in Psychology in the Summer of 2015. She rowed for WSU for four years and was part of the Women's Varsity 8+ that took 1st at SIRA's two years in a row and finished 4th at the San Diego Crew Classic in 2014. This past fall she volunteered as an assistant coach before transitioning into staff for the spring.

Paul Brink

Year in School (Grad / Undergrad): Senior Undergrad

Major/Minors: Major in Economics and Political Science as well as a Minor in Mathematics

Occupation: Assistant Coach/Equipment Manager

Favorite rowing accomplishment: Helping bring a group to the San Diego Crew Classic for the first time in over 20 years, and making the Grand final with the Men's 8.

Why are you helping/ volunteering with the team: After rowing for 4 years, I wanted to continue to contribute to the team and to the sport of rowing. I look forward to helping the team continue to progress toward accomplishing the success that we all strive for.
