The School of Community Affairs seeks to integrate academic and professional disciplines to enhance effective citizenship and contribute to the civic development of the community. The faculty and staff in the disciplines of Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Gerontology, and Ethnic Studies provide within the Regents System, a unique combination of teaching, research, and service-oriented resources.
Through its interdisciplinary teaching, research, and service activities, the School seeks to further the exchange of knowledge and skills between the community and the University. The School of Community Affairs is committed to the enhancement of basic and applied scholarship and public service to meet the challenges of a constantly changing local, regional, and world community.
