Mission Statement

The mission of Student Health Services at Wichita State University is to assist students in maintaining a state of optimum physical and mental wellness.  We provide medical treatment for ill or injured students and offer guidance and education in health matters to promote good health and prevent disease.  Our professional staff is comprised of registered nurses, registered nurse practitioners, physicians, a registered pharmicist and a dietician.

2012-2013

 

  1. Promote healthy life choices and increased health literacy through education about  
     illnesses, medical care, advocacy, and health promotion. 

  2. Collaborate with other campus departments and the community organizations to recognize health risks that could impact the campus community and work cooperatively to mitigate any risk to the students, faculty, and staff.  

  3. Appraise options and cost for electronic health information documentation to provide clear, concise, and confidential record keeping.

  4. Identify and develop opportunities for outreach to students to increase awareness of Student Health Services and growth of program.
