Each year the Office of Academic Affairs has limited funds to assist academic departments in performing their assessment activities. These funds are accessed by submitting the request for funding form and a copy of the Department Assessment Plan. If money was requested in past years, the department must also send a description of the assessment findings and how they were used within the department.
Requests are considered each academic year with a final deadline of March 1. Programs making requests earlier in the academic year will increase their chance of funding (as funds are limited). This money is state general use money and must be used within those guidelines. All expenditures must be encumbered by June 1 of the same academic year to assure the money can be transferred to the department within that fiscal year. Departments will submit copies of the expenditures and a department/organization number in order for the transaction to occur.
Departments who receive assessment grants are expected to share their assessment results with the Office of Academic Affairs.
