School of Social Work Mission

The mission of the School of Social Work at Wichita State University is to prepare students for competent and ethical professional practice in urban and rural environments. Through teaching, research, and public service the School is dedicated to the advancement of human well-being, the alleviation of poverty and oppression, and the improvement of human service systems with particular attention to the diverse needs of Wichita and the surrounding service region.

Accreditation Information

The BSW and MSW programs at Wichita State University are both fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) through June 2013.
