Lori K. Miller, Ed.D, J.D.: Lori Miller is aProfessor inSport Management at Wichita State University. Lori has an Ed.D. in Physical Education, a Juris Doctorate, a Masters of Business Administration, a Master of Education, and a BA in Business. Lori has published over 40 refereed journal articles, five book chapters, and three books. Lori's teaching and current research emphasis focuses on legal issues in the sport industry.
Jeff Noble, Ed. D: Dr. Noble is an instructor in the sport management department. He joined the faculty at WSU after spending the four years at the University of Northern Colorado where he completed his doctorate in sport management. During his time at UNC he served as a class instructor as well as the head women's diving coach and assistant swim coach. Prior to his time at UNC, Dr. Noble taught and coached at the University of Northern Iowa. His primary areas of expertise include sport governance, sport management and intercollegiate athletics.
G. Clayton (Clay) Stoldt, Ed.D: Dr.Clay Stoldt is an Associate Professor and serves as coordinator of the graduate sport management program at WSU. Prior tojoining the WSU faculty, Dr. Stoldt spent 10 years working in college athletics and also had professional experience workingin the mass media. Stoldt's teaching and research activities have focused primarily on sport public relations and sport marketing. Stoldt received his Doctor of Education from the University of Oklahoma. His master's degree was in sport management and his bachelor's in journalism/mass communication.
Frank Rokosz : Frank Rokosz has been with WSU for over 30 years. He received hisM.A.in physicaleducation at the University of Maryland.He teaches the structuring and scheduling sport tournaments class as well as other courses in the department. He is also the coordinator of the physical education activity program.
OTHER FACULTY
Alan Aagaard, Ph.D.:Dr. Alan Aagard, assistant professor of Education
Technologies and Methodologies, teaches CI 541/542 Desktop Publishing
Iand II. He received his doctorate from the University of Northern
Colorado.
Martin Perline, Ph.D.: Dr. Martin Perline, professor of Economics and
Bloomfield Foundation Faculty Fellow, Economics (1965),teaches ECON 611-
Economics of Sport. He received hisdoctorate from Wichita State in 1967.
Richard Laptad : Dr. Richard Laptad has more than 35 years of faculty
experience. He received his doctorate in education at the University of
Oregon in 1971. He has taught numerous courses including sport
psychology.
John F. Hansan :Dr. John Hansan, associate professor Emeritus of Physical
Education, taught at WSU for 31 years and was chair personof the
department for 11 of those years. He considers initiating the sport
administration program as his greatest achievement.
Lecturers and Other Faculty
Greg Buell, Ph.D.: Dr. Greg Buell, associate director of the WSU Counseling
and Testing Center, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in sport
psychology. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Sourthern
Illinois University.
John Lee, M.Ed.: John Lee teaches KSS 525-Sport Facility Management.Healso serves as Associate Director of Facilities at the Heskett Center and was Intramural Sports/Sport Clubs/Outdoor Coordinator at WSU.
Mike McCoy, M.S.:Mike McCoy teaches KSS 428-Sport Finance. He serves as
the general manager of the Wichita Wild arena football franchise and has
worked as a consultant with several other franchises across the country.
Steve Shaad, B.A.: Steve Shaad, client development manager for
Entermotion Design, teaches a class in sport event and tournament
management. He has more than 25 years of experience in professional and
college sport.
Jackie Williams, J.D.: Jackie Williams, distinguished senior fellow in criminal
justice and faculty in the School of Community Affairs, teaches a class in
sport law. He received his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University.Prior to joining the WSU faculty, Mr. Williams was the United States Attorney for
