Students pursuing both undergraduate and graduate degrees in sport management are required to complete an internship requirement as one of the culminating learning experiences in their programs of study. Internships provide students with the opportunity to utilize knowledge gained through their classes, to enhance their portfolios, to network with sport administrators, and to take an important step in establishing themselves as practicing sport administrators.
Undergraduate sport management students who have obtained senior status (90 credit hours or more) and a 2.5 GPA. are eligible admission into for the internship program. Enrollment in the program is by permission of the instructor only. Graduate students must have completed 24 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for enrollment as an intern.
