What is it?
In response to feedback from Wichita State University faculty, staff, students and alumni, as well as changes in the higher education environment, WSU developed and launched its first-ever brand development campaign in Spring 2001. WSU created this campaign using internal resources, with a creative team pulled together from University Communications, Publications and Advertising, and Media Resources Center staff under the direction of Bruce Erickson, executive director of Marketing and Communications and Elizabeth King, vice president for university advancement. The campaign's second phase launches in February 2002, featuring a new group of WSU Thinkers, Doers, Movers and Shockers.
When can I see it?
Wichita State University's advertising campaign debuted Sunday, February 11, 2001 with television and newspaper advertising. The ads will air on local network affiliate stations and cable TV, as well as in regional newspapers. The ads feature faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Why is WSU doing this?
The campaign goal is to build positive awareness of, and pride in, Wichita State University and the resources it brings to our community and region.
What is the campaign's message?
The people associated with WSU -- faculty, staff, alumni, and students -- are thinkers, doers, movers, & Shockers. They are a diverse and accomplished group of people who are proud to claim their WSU affiliation.
