About TGG - Meetings

What Happens at The Meetings? The meetings have an open discussion format. We will have a topic for each meeting, like:

• Campus environment
• Stereotypes and discrimination, in and out of the LGBT community
• Gender identity
• Cultural and religious approaches to LGBT identity
• Coming outs
• Family
• Safer sex, including STDs / HIV
• Relationships
• Meeting people
• LGBT culture
• Portrayal in the media

We may also, from time to time, plan short activities, invite guest speakers, or even watch a movie.

When Are The Meetings? For the Fall Semester, 2008, we will meet every Thursday night at 7:00pm in the Sunflower Room on the Lower Level (basement) of the Rhatigan Student Center (see a map of the RSC). The door is open, so feel free to come and go as your schedule allows. The meetings last for an hour to an hour and a half.

Although TGG will not be holding official meetings during the summer months, our members will be participating in a number of activities, including Wichita's Pride Festival--for more information, check out our calendar or Facebook group, or join our email listserv
