Student Success
Tutoring, peer mentoring, group study sessions, supplemental instruction, study skills workshops and financial literacy resources are all coordinated by the Student Success office.

Counseling and Testing
In addition to affordable counseling services, this office assists students in earning credit from the following areas: Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, SAT, ACT, CLEP and more.

Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services provides a range of services to assist students in and out of the classroom, including testing, interpreting, note-taking, escorting, book scanning, brailing, transcribing, special tables and chairs and auxiliary aids.

Family and Parent Support
Family and Parent Support is here to help your student transition academically and socially to campus by connecting them with the people, services and support they need.

We Support U
We Support U offers suicide prevention resources to students, faculty and staff.

Dental Hygiene Clinic
WSU boasts a Dental Hygiene Clinic, giving students access to affordable dental care away from home. Dental examinations, routine cleanings and other oral health services are performed by Dental Hygiene students under the supervision of qualified clinical instructors. One set of duplicate X-rays are made available to clinic visitors or their dental providers at no extra cost.

Student Health Services
The nurses and physicians at Student Health Services provide medical care and treatment for ill and injured students. Additional services include health and wellness education, nutrition counseling, annual exams and limited pharmacy services.

Campus Recreation
Home to campus health and fitness, campus recreation is based in the Heskett Center. Students can participate in intramural athletics, consult with a personal trainer, get a massage, or take a Shocker Fit class in one of our state-of-the-art facilities. Students with a myWSU ID gain free access to the Heskett Center, including: five convertible basketball/volleyball/badminton courts; 200 meter indoor track; three Shocker fitness studios; Aquatic Center; racquetball courts; 25-foot climbing wall; weight room; cardiovascular room; and six outdoor lighted tennis courts.

Students receive free tickets to every home athletic event. With 15 Division I athletic teams playing in the Missouri Valley Conference, that's a lot of great Shocker entertainment on a student-sized budget.

Student Involvement
Extracurricular involvement is key to being a happy and successful student. Student Involvement coordinates civic engagment and leadership opportunities, Greek life (fraternities and sororities), Student Activities Council, Student Government Association and more than 150 registered student organizations.

Diversity and Inclusion
Promoting a campus environment of all-inclusive global diversity, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) hosts a variety of free cultural events and speakers and provides students with an on-campus space to for socializing and studying. Coordinated by ODI, the Multicultural Student Mentoring Program (MSMP) is designed to assist underrepresented freshmen and new transfer students in achieving their academic goals.

Cooperative Education and Internships
Is your student looking to earn college credit for a job in their academic interest area? Cooperative Education and Internships will help set them up with a "co-op" or internship, earning your student valuable real-world experience before graduation.

Career Services
Trained professionals can help your student find a job at every stage of their academic career. Is your son or daughter unsure about what they want to do? Career Services also offers a range of career exploration options based on skills, interests and personality.
