Tuition and Fees Required of Every Student as a Condition of Enrollment

The following tuition and fees are required of every student enrolled on the Wichita State University main campus, and classes held in the City of Wichita, Wichita's contiguous industrial sites, WSU West, WSU South and the Downtown Center. The tuition and fees listed are subject to change by action of the Kansas Board of Regents.

1) This fee comprises student, campus infrastructure and support fees. Student Fees support the student union, Heskett Center, student health services, Student Government Association, student publications, concerts, drama, opera productions and similar items. Mandatory campus infrastructure and support fees support registration costs, technology upgrades and replacement, helps to offset the campus shuttle bus service and the one-stop service center which provides 24/7 support for students in the areas of admissions, financial aid, registration, advising and student accounts. All students, both on-campus and online, have access to such services virtually or in a physical one-stop facility.


2) This fee comprises online area fee, which includes $10.95 toward student fees and $3.57 towards infrastructure and support fees. Mandatory campus infrastructure and support fees support registration costs, technology upgrades and replacement, helps to offset the campus shuttle bus service and the one-stop service center which provides 24/7 support for students in the areas of admissions, financial aid, registration, advising and student accounts. All students, both on-campus and online, have access to such services virtually or in a physical one-stop facility.


3) Shocker City Partnership rate applies to residents of the following counties in Oklahoma and Texas:

Oklahoma: Canadian, Cherokee, Cleveland, Creek, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington.

Texas: Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise.


4) Shocker Select rate applies to residents of Oklahoma and Texas excluding the following counties in Oklahoma and Texas:

Oklahoma: Canadian, Cherokee, Cleveland, Creek, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington.

5) Midwest Student Exchange rate applies to students residents of the following states:  Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.  The rate applies to most undergraduate and graduate programs in the University but excludes limited access programs.  See all programs to which the compact applies.
