 Tuition and Mandatory Fees

Required of Every Student as a Condition of Enrollment

The following tuition and fees are for all credit-bearing courses taken by enrolled students at Wichita State University. The courses may be provided on the main campus, WSU Main Street, WSU Old Town, WSU South and/or WSU West. The tuition and fees listed are subject to change by action of the Kansas Board of Regents.

(a) Student Fees support the student union, Heskett Center, student health services, Student Government Association, student publications, concerts, drama, opera productions and similar items.

(b) The tuition for fully online programs is set at the resident tuition rate (undergraduate and graduate).

(c) The Online Area Fee includes $10.93 toward student fees and $3.57 towards intercollegiate athletic fees.

(d) The Campus Infrastructure and Support Fee supports registration costs and the OneStop service center which provides 24/7 support for students in the areas of admissions, financial aid, registration, advising and student accounts. All students, both on-campus and on-line, have access to such services virtually or at the physical OneStop service center.

(e) The Technology Fee is assessed to all students to help offset the cost of technology upgrades and replacement.

(f) The Transportation Fee is assessed to all students to help offset the cost of the campus shuttle bus service.

(1) Shocker City Partnership rate applies to residents of the following counties in Oklahoma and Texas:

Oklahoma: Canadian, Cherokee, Cleveland, Creek, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington.

Texas: Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Wise, Somervell and Hood.

(2) Shocker Select rate applies to residents of Oklahoma and Texas excluding the following counties in Oklahoma and Texas:

(3) Midwest Student Exchange rate applies to students residents of the following states:  Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.  The rate applies to most undergraduate and graduate programs in the University but excludes limited access programs.  See all programs to which the compact applies.
