Academic Improvement on Standardized Tests
Seventy-five percent (75%) of all UBMS participants, who at the time of entrance into the project had an expected high school graduation date during the school year, will have achieved at the proficient level during high school on state assessments in reading/ language arts and math.
68% (13/19) of the 2009 cohort achieved proficiency in both reading and math.
Seventy percent (70%) of 9th, 10th, 11th grade project participants served during each school year will continue to participate in the UBMS project during the next school year.
97.6% (42/43) of 08-09 students continued their participation for 09-10.
Seventy percent (70%) of all UBMS participants, who at the time of entrance into the project had an expected graduation date during the school year, will enroll in a program of postsecondary education by the fall term immediately following the expected graduation date from high school.
73.6% (14/19) of the 2009 graduating cohort matriculated to post-secondary.
Sixty-five percent (65%) of all UBMS participants who enrolled in a program of postsecondary education during the fall term immediately following high school graduation will be enrolled for the fall term of the second academic year.
87.5% (21/24) of participants persisted for the second year or postsecondary.
74% of the class of 2003 matriculated to PSE. Sixty-five percent (11/17) graduated within six years. 48% of the cohort graduated from PSE, and 61% either graduated or is persisting.
