Group Visits

Consider this an open invitation! If your students are still in the deciding phase of their college search, we encourage them to visit Wichita State. During their visit, they will have the opportunity to explore our buildings, talk to current students and get a feel for what it's like to be a Shocker student.

Types of Groups

The Office of Admissions provides group visits specially designed for:

• High school (9th-12th graders)
• Community college students
• TRIO, AVID or any other group with a special interest
• If you have a middle school group, please call Mandy Ronen at (316) 978-5697 or email mandy.ronen@wichita.edu to inquire about Middle School Visit Day

If your group is smaller than 10 students, please sign up  through our campus visit program.

Summer Visits for Special Groups: May 1 through July 31

• A 30-minute admissions presentation is required for all group visits
• Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to check-in.

Visit Options

In addition to your presentation, you may include other sessions to help your students learn more about Wichita State. In order to serve you to the best of our ability, all options require at least three weeks' notice to accommodate your requests and the presenter schedules.

Presentations

• Financial Aid: Learn about WSU's financial aid and scholarship opportunities. For more information, visit the Office of Financial Aid website.
• TRIO Disability Support Services: Learn about the resources WSU provides to assist undergraduate students who have learning, physical and psychological disabilities. For more information, visit the TRIO Disability Support Services website.
• Office of Multicultural Affairs: Learn more about how WSU aims to provide a campus climate that is welcoming, supportive, caring and nurturing; one in which its citizens, regardless of their human and socio-cultural differences, can coexist in harmony. • Student Support Services: Learn about the services SSS provides to first generation students, low income students and students with disabilities. SSS helps WSU students reach  their academic goals, stay in school and graduate. For more information, visit the Student Support Services website.

Tours

• Fairmount Towers (housing): See one of WSU's freshman residence halls up close! Visit the commons area, an individual room and activity areas.
• Campus: Explore WSU's beautiful campus during this one-hour walking tour.
• Koch Arena: Tour Charles Koch Arena, the home of Shocker Basketball and Volleyball.
• Heskett Center: See what WSU's student recreation center has to offer--indoor pool, track, cardio rooms and much more!
