Transfer Scholarship Opportunities

General Transfer Scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year

Phi Theta Kappa

Recipients of this scholarship receive a non-renewable $1,000 award. Applicants must have accumulated at least 24 credit hours and a minimum 3.75 GPA to be considered. Applicants must also submit:

  • Phi Theta Kappa activities chart
  • Letter of recommendation from their adviser, written on official community college letterhead
Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO)

Recipients of this scholarship receive a non-renewable $1,000 award. Applicants must have accumulated at least 24 credit hours and a minimum 3.75 GPA to be considered. Applicants must also submit:

  • HALO activities chart
  • Letter of recommendation from their adviser, written on official community college letterhead
Sedgwick County Scholarship

Students who graduated from a Sedgwick County high school or who are current Sedgwick County residents are eligible for these scholarships. Scholarship amounts are $1,000 per semester (for students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours) or $500 per semester (for students enrolled in six to 11 credit hours). Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a domestic, undergraduate, first-time student at WSU
  • Must have graduated from a Sedgwick County high school or currently be a Sedgwick County resident
  • Transfer to WSU with 70 or fewer credit hours and a minimum 3.0 GPA

All eligible spring scholarship applicants will automatically be considered for the Sedgwick County Transfer Scholarship award.
