Palestinian-born artist Emily Jacir, who divides her time between New York and Ramallah, uses photography, drawing, video, text, and found objects to put a human face on the intractable geopolitical issues that have tormented the Middle East for generations. Ms. Jacir was represented in the recent Istanbul Biennale and the 2004 Whitney Biennial.
