The Ulrich Museum of Art is a public/private partnership. A professional staff of eight with a $1.5 million annual budget work diligently to engage and inspire an annual audience of 20,000 to 25,000.

State resources from Wichita State University provide for 30% of the museum direct annual costs and 30% of costs to maintain facility and provide organizational support services. Helpful endowment resources, developed from private contributions, enable the museum of build and maintain the art collection, and those funds contribute another 20% of the annual budget. Community support from private individuals and corporations support the remaining 20% of each year’s budget.

The Ulrich Museum is generously supported by the City of Wichita, the Ulrich Salon Circle and the Ulrich Museum Alliance. The Ulrich Museum also has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services(IMLS).
