Connecting to WSU Secure

If you were connected to WSU Secure prior to Decemeber 20, 2010 you will need to uninstall SecureW2 and Bradford Persistant Agent (if installed) before you follow the instructions below.

Connecting to WSU Secure is a simple process.  The basic steps are as follows:

  1. Find WSU Secure in your list of available networks and click "connect"
  2. A window will pop up asking for your password.  Enter your myWSU ID and password.  If you are not a current student or faculty/staff, you will need to connect to WSU Guest
  3. Test your connection by trying to access any site.

Note: If you have WINDOWS XP your computer will not autodetect the network correctly.  Therefore, you will need to Manually configure it.  Instructions can be found here.

Connection properties for WSU Secure are:

  • SSID="WSU Secure"
  • Security=WPA2  Enterprise security
  • PEAP authentication tunnelling
  • MS-CHAPv2 authentication
