Students from all colleges, schools, departments and disciplines throughout the university are eligible for participation in any WSU band through a friendly and non-threatening audition! The audition process is generally for band placement. Our goal is to exclude no one!

A special note to non-music majors, if you have a schedule conflict with a band, please contact us.  We may be able to work with you and we will make every effort to accommodate your schedule, when possible. We want you to continue to play your instrument and to be a member of our WSU Bands family!

To prospective WSU Band members, by becoming a WSU Band member you will find an immediate circle of friends who are warm, friendly, sincere and willing to help you get acquainted and acclimated to WSU. The members of the WSU Bands are among the finest people you will find on campus or anywhere!

Prospective students, please complete the  Prospective WSU Band Member Form.  Prospective band members are invited and encouraged to visit a WSU Band rehearsal; bring your instrument to the rehearsal and play along.  Invite your friends to visit along with you.  Contact Dr. Markovich, Director of Bands, to schedule a rehearsal visit.

Prospective students scheduling a Campus Visit through the Office of Admissions are encouraged to ask to meet with Dr. Markovich, Director of Bands, to learn more about band opportunities.

In closing, we of the WSU Bands family hope you enjoy browsing our website, and we hope you will become a member or supporter of one of the finest university band programs in the country.
