About A Cappella Choir

A Cappella Choir is a mixed chorus that sings a variety of choral literature, from the Renaissance contemporary styles.  The ensemble presents campus concerts each semester, various community programs, and a spring oratorio with Concert Chorale and Symphony Orchestra.  In addition, A Cappella Choir participates in the annual Candlelight Christmas Concert.

  • Satisfies large ensemble requirement for music majors

Auditions

  • Open to all Wichita State University students
  • Auditions held during the first two days of classes during the semester
  • Auditions consist of sight-singing, pitch memory, and vocalizes
