Weapons Policy Documents

With the enactment of the Kansas Personal and Family Protection Act and subsequent amendments, the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) has directed each state university to develop and follow policies and procedures for the safe possession and storage of lawfully possessed handguns and determine whether and to what extent otherwise lawfully possessed concealed handguns will be prohibited in any university buildings or areas of buildings.

The documents linked below include Wichita State University and enacted KBOR policy with regard to the presence of weapons on university property. The WSU Weapons Policy was approved by the KBOR Governance Committee at its December meeting.
