Returning Adults 

If you have not taken a course for a few years, or you have not taken a university course at all, but you are concerned about personal enrichment or future job opportunities, you have come to the right place. We want to make your transition to university life as painless as possible. We offer many general education classes for degree completion, as well as classes in professional programs such as MBA.

 Here are just some of the reasons why so many adult students are attending South Campus:

• Flexible schedules: Late afternoon, evening and weekend classes to fit your schedules.
• Quality education: Classes are taught by WSU lecturers and staff. You do not have to worry about credit transferability to other institutions.
• Small classes: Enjoy our small class learning environment with easy access to your instructors.
• Adult student population: Most of our students are over 18 with some being retirees. You will feel right at home being a mature student.
• Convenience: We are in the heart of Derby with ready access to the surrounding communities. No need to worry about traffic or parking.
• Student services: Free student counseling services are available on site. 

For the fall 09 session, we offer two career guidance workshops for returning adults at South Campus: LASI 100A and LASI 150D. Both are 1 credit-hour classes.
