Refer A Shocker

student, neighbor or co-worker? An adult friend who’s
thinking of going back to school but needs a little
encouragement? Well, Aaron Hamilton ’97 and other WSU
Undergraduate Admissions personnel would like to hear from
you, and they’re making it a little easier with their
website’s new “Refer a Shocker” feature:

“We want to recruit our own. To do so,
we need to know who and where they are,” says Hamilton,
assistant director of undergraduate admissions. “This
website will help us do just that.”
The simple, straightforward online form
lets you clue admissions pros in on that ideal candidate,
with space for extracurricular as well as academic
interests. Once they’ve got the all-important info,
admissions staff can contact prospective students first
rather than waiting for them to make the first move.
Everyone loves to feel sought after. By referring a Shocker,
you can help the university make these vital connections —
and maybe make a perfect match!
Shocker Heritage Fund Kicks Off
The Alumni Association has kicked off its annual Shocker Heritage Fund campaign drive.
Each year we ask alumni and friends of Wichita State University to consider a gift in support of our mission
"to create, maintain and enhance relationships among current and prospective university students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends that will foster loyalty, interest and support for WSU and one another." The Shocker Heritage Fund provides crucial funding for the continuance of current Alumni Association programs, as well as allowing for the initiation of new areas of service.

For an annual royalty payment to the WSU
Alumni Association, WU rides with you everywhere you go. And it's all for a
Shocker of a cause! Every dollar of the royalty fee, after a small
administrative fee, is deposited into WSU's general scholarship fund to help
deserving students.
