Q: I did not graduate from WSU. Can I still join the alumni
association?
A: Absolutely! The WSU Alumni Association invites all friends and
fans of Wichita State University to join the alumni family.
Q: Is there a WSU Alumni Chapter in my area?
A: Possibly. Check out the Chapters and
Societies page on this website.
Q: Does my financial contribution to the WSU
Foundation include membership in the alumni
association?
A: No. While both institutions exist to support the university,
they are independent of each other.
Q: Are my membership dues tax-deductible?
A: No.
Q: Do I have to be a member of the alumni association to receive The
Shocker magazine?
A: Only members of the WSU Alumni Association will receive The
Shocker magazine three times a year. Once a year the magazine is sent to
all Shocker alumni as an invitation to stay connected to Wichita State as a
dues-paying member of the association.
Q: How can I get a copy of my academic transcripts?
A: To request a copy of your transcript, contact the office of
the registrar at (316) 978-3055 or complete the
on-line transcript
request form on their website.
Q: How can I get information about enrolling my child at WSU?
A: Contact the office of
admissions at (316) 978-3085 or (800) 362-2594.
Q: How old is the WSU Alumni Association?
A: The alumni association at Wichita State (and its predecessors
the University of Wichita and Fairmount College) was founded in 1913 and led
by volunteer president Harry Shuler '13/30. The alumni association is the
oldest and largest support organization at WSU.
