Beta Alpha Psi Chapter Objectives

The objectives of the Epsilon Tau Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, for the 2003-2004 Academic Year include the National Beta Alpha Psi objectives.

To facilitate this, Epsilon Tau Chapter plans to:

1. Increase the number of members and pledges through recruitment involving increased publicity, promotion and accessibility.
2. Continue the Epsilon Tau Chapter's tradition of participating in community service activities.
3. Initiate two pledge classes; Fall 2003 and Spring 2004.
4. Encourage ongoing participation of members, pledges, accounting faculty, and business professionals.
5. Promote professionalism between Beta Alpha Psi members, pledges, accounting faculty, and business professionals.
6. Achieve National Superior Chapter Status.
7. Provide a well-rounded, information academic year.
8. Provide an Accounting Lab for tutoring of accounting students.
9. Promote diversity in our chapter by encouraging participation of students from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
10. Promote accounting profession amount all ethnic and cultural groups by speaking to students in required business courses: Accounting 210 and 220.
11. Participate in the following activities:

    A. National Meeting
   B. National Service Day
   C. Regional Meeting
   D. Regional Leadership Conference
   E. Regional Meeting Presentation

12. Publish a resume book.
13. Publish one newsletter in the Spring 2004 semester.
14. Update the membership roster and mailing list as necessary.
15. Have fundraisers to offset expenses.
16. Nominate a "Beta Alpha Psi Professional of the Year" for national competition.
17. Recognize an "Outstanding Alumnus" for the year.
18. To provide a professional mentoring program.
19. Compile and communicate necessary information of procedures for future officers to ensure a smooth transition of offices.
