How do I find the fraternity where I will feel the most comfortable?
The best way to find the fraternity that will fit you the best is to get out and meet people. By attending rush events from most or all of the fraternities, you will get a pretty good idea of which ones you do not feel comfortable with. Then you can focus on the ones that you do, and learn more about the members, activities, and history of each organization. Generally the place where you feel the most comfortable and have the most fun is where you will want to join. Make sure that you let your friends in the fraternity know if you are interested in joining, and ask them to introduce you to the members that you do not know as well.

What is pledging all about?
Pledging is the final step in joining a fraternity. Just as you have pledged yourself to the United States and to education, so now are you pledging yourself to a lifelong friendship and brotherhood. The pledging period of each organization varies (You should ask before joining), after which you become a full member of the fraternity. This is not, however, the end of your pledge. You will continue to grow close to and share experiences with the members of your fraternity.

What are the benefits of joining a fraternity?
The benefits of joining a fraternity are extensive. You will develop social skills through functions and sports, leadership skills by taking on one of the many chapter or fraternity positions, charity experience through the Greek systems many philanthropic events, communication skills through chapter meetings and discussions, networking skills through communication with alumni members, public speaking skills at chapter meetings and community events, and most importantly, you will make some good friends. But the benefits do not stop at gaining experience and new friends. You will benefit academically from having study groups and chapter research materials.
