The Center

Getting involved on campus is a great way to enhance your college experience. Becoming
involved in a campus or community organization provides opportunities to meet new people,
develop leadership skills, and network with other students, campus, and community members.
Wichita State University has over 150 recognized student organizations to meet your needs
and interests.

The Center for Student Leadership (CSL) is the department of Student Affairs thatcoordinates
student organizations, leadership, Greek life, and volunteerism. We provide a wide range of
leadership resources including leadership workshops and retreats, community service and
leadership fairs, a resource library, service learning and volunteer programs, and networking opportunities on campus and in the community.Our office is located in the lower level of the Rhatigan Student Center, Room 008.

A one-stop-shop for information about volunteer opportunities is the CSL's very own Volunteer Fair. This event is held each semester in theRhatigan Student Center, and spotlights dozens of local and national companies that need eager, young volunteers to support their cause. Some of these companies may include local elementary schools, the American Red Cross, and even Botanica, Wichita's downtown botanical garden. Students of all majors and interest-backgrounds can find a volunteer opportunity to suit them through the CSL!

The Mission

The mission of the Center for Student Leadership is to provide students and student organizations with programs and services that promote proactive, productive leadership that engages students in the expression of thoughts and ideas, build connections and collaborative relationships with faculty and other University departments, and encourages civic responsibility and committed service.
