WSU Symphony Orchestra presents a Halloween Family Concert

Doors open a half hour before show time. Box Office is open one hour before show. (Please plan to arrive early to avoid lines.)

Designed for listeners of all ages, the program features 20th and 21st century music from America, France, and Mexico, all connected by a strong narrative underlying each piece. John Williams' Call of the Champions, the majestic fanfare composed for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, will open the concert. Mother Goose Suite, Maurice Ravel's colorful, vivid ballet score based upon the well-loved fairy tales, will also be performed. Mexico is represented by the vibrant Danzon No. 2 by Arturo Marquez. The program includes two popular American selections: Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings and Morton Gould's American Salute. The members of the orchestra will be dressed in costume for this fun, festive event.
