Goldbarth gives reading
1:57:05 AM CDT - Thursday, April 10, 2003
Albert Goldbarth, a national award-winning poet who teaches in WSU's creative writing program, will give a reading from his latest novel and book of poetry at
7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Ulrich Museum of Art as part of the museum's Art for Your Ears series.
This is Goldbarth's only reading in Wichita this semester.
Goldbarth will be available after the reading to sign copies of his book of poetry, "Combinations of the Universe," and his novel, "Pieces of Payne." The University Bookstore will sell copies of both books.
Goldbarth, WSU's Adele Davis Distinguished Professor of Humanities, won a second National Book Critics Circle Award in 2002 for poetry for his book "Saving Lives." Goldbarth is the only poet since 1981 to win the award for a second time.
