University faculty awards will be presented during the spring general faculty meeting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, in the Rhatigan Student Center ballroom. Faculty will be recognized for excellence in teaching, research and creative activity.
All faculty honorees will be notified by April 1. Honorees, the campus community and guests are encouraged to attend.
Previously faculty awards were presented at Honors Convocation, which recognized faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students.
Many undergraduate students are eligible to be recognized for achievements in honor societies in the college of their academic discipline or Phi Kappa Phi. PKP is an honor society that recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all disciplines of higher education.
Undergraduate students meeting PKP criteria are eligible to be nominated and inducted into the honor society. For more information about the local PKP chapter visit http://webs.wichita.edu/dt/beta.asp?u=pkp.
Graduate students will be recognized for their achievements, but in a separate ceremony.
