Rocca reschedules for Feb. 17
11:59:48 AM CDT - Wednesday, December 08, 2004
Geeky, factoid-loving television personality and political satirist Mo Rocca has rescheduled to appear at WSU at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17. His October lecture was postponed because of a family emergency.
Rocca's appearance, which will be held in the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex, is part of the Milton and Gladys Glickman Lecture Series.
Known for his wacky, tongue-in-cheek news reports and hilarious commentary, Rocca is host of Bravo's "Things I Hate About You." During this year's election coverage, Rocca was a correspondent for CNN.
His new book, "All the Presidents' Pets," is satirical investigative journalism that blows the lid off a long-held secret in Washington: The presidents' pets are more than just photo ops. The book has been called equal parts "All the President's Men," "Dutch" and "Charlotte's Web."
Rocca is regularly seen on VH1's "Best Week Ever" pop culture roundup and on the series "I Love the 70s," "I Love the 80s" and "I Love the 90s."
Rocca's lecture is free and open to the public, but space is limited. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.wichita.edu/glickmanlecture.
