Women's studies offers 2 events

2:10:20 PM CDT - Friday, March 11, 2005

To celebrate Women's History Month, WSU's Center for Women's Studies is presenting two events that look at women in an international framework.

"Rana's Wedding," a romantic drama about a Palestinian girl's wedding day, in which she has 10 hours to find her boyfriend in occupied Jerusalem rather than choose from her father's list of pre-selected eligible husbands, will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, March 11.

Marta Vicente from the University of Kansas will talk about "Equality is Fraud: Spanish Feminism Today" at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9.

Both lectures will be held in 209 Hubbard Hall. They are free and open to the public.
