Bart Hildreth, the Regents Distinguished Professor of Public Finance, has been awarded a Fulbright scholarship to be the research chair in public policy at McGill University for the fall semester.
He will be that university's first visiting Fulbright scholar.
His research project will be on the capital market behavior of provincial and municipal governments in Canada and the financing of public infrastructure, in comparison to the practices and policies by American state and local governments. He's also received a travel grant from the Canadian Embassy to conduct interviews in several provinces, while on sabbatical.
