Business grad programs at WSU among top one-third in U.S.

9:25:23 AM CDT - Friday, October 21, 2005

WSU's Barton School of Business is ranked in the top one-third of the nation's most outstanding business schools for a graduate business degree, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company profiles the school in its new 2006 edition of its "Best 237 Business Schools."

The Barton School of Business was ranked 75 among the 237 AACSB-accredited MBA programs by The Princeton Review, which rated students' academic experience based on student surveys and institutional data.

The AACSB is an international accreditation organization for business schools that ensures schools are maintaining business education standards.

The survey asked students more than 50 questions about themselves, their career plans and the school's academics, student body and campus life. Conducted during the 2004-05 and 2003-04 academic years, the surveys were done primarily online. The book's ranking lists are posted at www.PrincetonReview.com.

In addition to the MBA, the Barton School offers MBA concentrations in entrepreneurship, finance, health-care administration, marketing, and technology and operations management. It also offers master's degrees in accountancy and economics, a combined MBA and master of science in nursing, and an executive MBA.
