Dedication activities set

WSU's new West Campus will be dedicated at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 31; open house activities will follow from 2-6 p.m.
Wake Up With West Campus will kick off the day of celebration from 7-9 a.m. Area residents and workers are invited to stop by and meet the executive staff of WSU. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be available.
Ron Kopita, vice president for campus life and university relations, will officiate at the 1:30 p.m. dedication ceremony. Donna Shank, chair, Kansas Board of Regents, will give dedication remarks. Maize mayor Clair Donnelly, West Campus director Celia Goering and WSU President Don Beggs will also speak.
During the open house from 2-6 p.m., several student musical ensembles from WSU and Maize and Wichita high schools will perform.
Eligible candidates can sign up to win one of two $1,000 scholarships. There will be several other door prize drawings including sports balls signed by the men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball teams, and a chance to meet some of the athletes.
