| Photos by Dave Dinell | Ulrich Museum staff member Linda Maxwell views the whimsical, intricate artwork of the late WSU administrator Fred Sudermann that was on display near the first-floor elevator of the museum last weekend. The piece Maxwell is viewing is called "Any Number Can Play."
Another of Sudermann's works that had been displayed "Block Party," shown below. Sudermann's art greeted visitors to the 16th WSU School of Art and Design Faculty Biennial, which opened last weekend with a preview party that paid tribute to Sudermann.
Sudermann earned degrees from the University of Wichita in 1958 and 1960, and started working for his alma mater in 1963. He was serving as a senior adviser to the president when he died last August.
