2010 AANP State Award for Excellence

The School of Nursing is pleased to announce that Dr. Karen Hayes has received the 2010 American Association of Nurse Practitioners’ State Award for Excellence. 


Dr. Hayes’ NP practice is located in Ashley Clinic, Yates Center, KS.  Karen is not only a faculty member for the School of Nursing in the ACNP/Adult CNS specialty but also serves as a preceptor for FNP students in her rural health clinic. 


This prestigious award is given annually to a dedicated nurse practitioner in each state who demonstrates excellence in their area of practice. Dr. Hayes will be recognized for this achievement during the 2010 AANP National Conference which will be held June 23-27 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
