The Center operates the Lake Afton Public Observatory, runs the Kansas Science Olympiad, hosts the Kansas Academy of Science's Kansas Junior Academy of Science and coordinates the JASON Project in Kansas. Assistant Director, WSU Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education.
Do you like using science and math to inspire students to discover more about the world around them? If so, a position with the WSU Fairmount Center may be for you. The Centerís Assistant Director has responsibility for: organizing the Kansas Junior Academy of Science state-wide competition; organizing WSUís JASON Days event; assisting with the state Kansas Science Olympiad tournament; making classroom presentations on various science topics to K-12 students; overseeing the Centerís lending library of math and science kits; and assisting with other Center activities. This full time position is expected to begin on September 1st.
