17.06 / Common Areas
Lounge and Lobby Usage:
Lounge areas are available for programming up to two days per
week.
Use is limited to once per month per organization. Sound
equipment
may be used in the lounge provided the sound level does not exceed a
dBA
sound pressure level of 76. A dBA sound monitor has been
installed
to measure this level. The use of sound equipment is limited to
one
public area at a time. Furniture in the lounges may be removed by
obtaining special permission at the time the space is reserved.
Events
in the Shocker Lounge should not block or otherwise inhibit access to
and
from the Shocker Card Center and/or Commerce Bank. Any exceptions
to the above policies must be approved by the Director of the Rhatigan
Student Center.
Patio Usage:
Special arrangements need to be made with the University Reservations
Manager when the patio on the east side of the Rhatigan Student Center
is to be used. Use of the patio is an outside event and must be
scheduled
through the University Reservations Office. Events taking place
on
the patio during class hours may not exceed one and one half hours in
duration
and the sound equipment levels must be kept low.
