Gather with other meteor shower watchers to observe the Geminid
meteor shower from the Observatory. Bring your essential meteor
observing equipment - a reclining lawn chair, blankets, a heavy coat -
and set up behind the Observatory to watch the meteor shower in a
dark sky. When you’re not outside observing meteors, join us inside
to look through our 16" telescope at some of our favorite deep sky objects.
In honor of the meteor "shower", anyone that comes out to the Observatory with "appropriate" shower attire - a rain coat, an umbrella, soap, a shower cap, a towel etc. - will receive $1.00 off their admission to the Observatory. From October through February the Observatories regular public programs are presented every Friday and Saturday evening from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. Admission: |
