By playing astronomy games students learn about astronomy while having fun. All of these games were developed by the staff of the Lake Afton Public Observatory. They may be reserved for a two week period by calling the Observatory at (316) 978-3191. Loan of the games is free to schools located within Sedgwick County, KS. BINGO Games

The traditional "BINGO" game has been adapted into a fun way to learn about the moon.

• Moon Phase BINGO - uses the moon's phase, position, and appearance in the sky as categories. (Recommended for grades 2-6)  To see a sample Moon Phase BINGO card Click Here.

Please note that Solar System BINGO, Stellar BINGO, and Severe Weather BINGO are NOT available at this time.

Astronomy Card Games

Students can use these decks of astronomy cards to become familiar with various terms used in the science of astronomy. By playing a version of "Old Maid" or a memory game, students can have fun while learning. Currently available are "Astronomy Cards" and "Moon Phases Cards."
