Exploring the Milky Way (WWW Tour)
Planets and stars are only a bit more than a stone’s throw away, right? During this program we will observe Jupiter, a multiple star, a cluster of stars, a nebula and a nearby galaxy as we discuss just how far away they really are and how we determine these distances.

The Lake Afton Public Observatory is open to the public every Friday and Saturday evening. From October through February, the Observatory's hours are from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m.

Admission:

  • $4.00 for adults
  • $3.00 for ages 6 - 12
  • Under six admitted free
  • Family Rate: 2 adults & immediate children or grandchildren $12.00
