One of the most exciting aspect of the WSU GK-12 program is the creation of research clubs in the three targeted Wichita public high schools. The clubs will meet after school and during lunch hours. GK-12 teacher fellows and graduate fellows will work closely with the club members on laboratory research projects. This will be primary research in biology that can be presented at regional and national meetings, and that will be suitable for publication in scientific journals.
